The Swedish progressive metal legends Opeth break a lengthy silence with The Last Will And Testament, their fourteenth studio album and their first since 2019’s In Cauda Venenum. Mikael Åkerfeldt states that all the music on this impressive conceptual record comes from a place of both loving and hating music at the same time – it’s certainly resulted in the most somnambulant and dreamlike of all of Opeth’s albums.
