Jellies might be a debut album for 77:78 aka Aaron Fletcher and Tim Parkin (The Bees) but it is more like a ‘best of’ album with genres bouncing back and forth like a homage to a band responding to a zeitgeist that spans fifty years. Expect 60s pop nestled whimsically alongside English psychedelia and beat-y electronica.  This album has something for everyone and yet doesn’t try too hard to please. It is the perfect accompaniment to the seemingly endless sunshine and may even wipe away some of the post-Moscow blues (maybe!)

Stand out track: ‘Love Said’ (Let’s Go)
